Maintenance and Repair Coordinator

London, ON, Canada
Full Time
Mid Level

Riverdale is looking for a sharp, technically-minded Maintenance and Repair Coordinator to serve as the central authority for our fleet maintenance lifecycle. You will be the primary link between the shop and management, ensuring our trucks and trailers are safe, 100% compliant, and ready to roll.

If you have the mechanical judgment to "talk shop" with repair shops and the organizational discipline to manage high-volume data and logistics, we want to hear from you.

Pay & Perks

  • Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, paid weekly
  • Annual Performance Bonus: Eligibility tied to your individual performance
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage (fully paid by Riverdale after 3 months).
  • Retirement: RSP/RRSP matching program available after one year.
  • Additional Perks: 10 days paid vacation, safety boot allowance, holiday lunches, and regular team appreciation events.

Schedule

  • Full-time: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (London yard).

What You’ll Do

  • System Administration: Maintain the Maintenance and Repair Board (MRB) as the "single source of truth," ensuring digital statuses perfectly match the physical reality of the fleet.
  • Triage & Workflow: Lead daily triage sessions to assess equipment issues, determine repair severity, and prioritize tasks based on operational impact.
  • Vendor & Resource Management: Allocate jobs between our in-house shop, Live Support Crew (LSC), and 3rd-party vendors based on capacity and complexity.
  • Financial Oversight: Review and approve 3rd-party repair quotes, ensuring costs are justified and essential.
  • Logistics & Compliance: Coordinate the movement of units to repair facilities and proactively schedule annual inspections (AI) and preventative maintenance (PM).
  • Weekend Continuity: Prepare comprehensive handoff documents to ensure yard repairs continue seamlessly during off-hours.

What You Need

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a fleet operations or maintenance environment (repair shop, logistics/dispatch, or fleet admin).
  • Mechanical Judgment: A solid grasp of heavy equipment (tractors/trailers) and the ability to identify major safety issues versus minor defects.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in STEM, Supply Chain, or related disciplines is an asset.
  • Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with Gmail, Excel, and Google Drive; ability to learn new tool/software as needed
  • Organization: Mastery of detail - you manage a clean inbox, maintain precise schedules, and don't let small details slip through the cracks.
  • Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to clearly articulate technical ideas to both mechanics and management.
