Fleet Analyst
We are looking for a Fleet Analyst to join our team in London. This is a role for a high-agency, analytically strong, and operationally practical analyst/project operator who can turn messy fleet, maintenance, vendor, and equipment data into clear recommendations, then drive follow-through across mechanics, fleet leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Pay & Perks
- Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year base salary.
- Annual Performance Bonus: Discretionary performance bonus tied to your results.
- Benefits: Group Benefits, including comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage (fully paid by Riverdale after 3 months).
- Retirement: RSP/RRSP matching program available.
- Additional Perks: 10 days paid vacation, safety boot allowance, holiday lunches, and regular team appreciation events.
Schedule
- Full-time: Monday - Friday out of our London yard.
- Travel: Some travel as required to inspect equipment and visit other offices and yards across Southwestern Ontario.
What You’ll Do
- Asset Planning & Lifecycle Management: Build internal forecasts for asset capacity and retirements, work with operating teams to plan purchases and disposals, perform pre-purchase inspections of prospective trucks with senior mechanics, and manage the onboarding and disposal of equipment.
- Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Perform analysis of historical work orders, downtime, and breakdown events to identify root causes and recommend actionable changes to improve future outcomes.
- Decision Support: Prepare agendas, conduct analysis, and capture action items for regular steering meetings.
- Project Execution: Act as a "safe pair of hands" for ad-hoc fleet tasks. Scope, implement, and monitor continuous improvement projects from start to finish.
- System Administration: Build, maintain, and document tools, dashboards, and processes related to fleet operations and equipment.
What You Need
- Experience: Background in an operational environment, such as fleet, transportation, logistics, maintenance, or asset management.
- Analytical Judgment: Strong problem-solving skills to investigate variances, separate signal from noise, and make practical recommendations.
- Tech Proficiency: Strong Excel/spreadsheet modeling skills, and comfort utilizing tools like Google Workspace and Asana. Experience building dashboards is a strong asset.
- Resourcefulness & Initiative: You don't sit on your hands waiting for direction; you proactively drive ambiguous work forward and find ways through barriers without constant direction.
- Communication: Clear written communication skills to deliver documentation and recommendations, plus the ability to work credibly with mechanics, fleet leadership, and vendors.
